Colorado Plus to Reopen After Major Revamp

After closing its doors for a major refresh project, Wheat Ridge’s Colorado Plus Brew Pub is gearing up for a fresh start. The establishment, located at 6995 W 38th Ave., will ideally be back open welcoming customers by September, co-owner Eugene Kahng told What Now Denver.

The space is getting a significant makeover, with Eugene Kahng explaining, “The wall behind the existing bar will be demoed to incorporate an inside/outside bar that services our west patio to make better use of the patio during the sunny days. [We are] also adding in a couple of fire pits for the cooler days.”

Draft beer selection will be undergoing an overhaul to focus on ensuring freshness and rotation. The brewpub plans to brew on-site using their 3 Barrel Brewhouse, offering 4 to 5 selections of house-brewed beer and ginger ale.

The menu will still focus on burgers, and new vegan sandwiches, salads, and pub fare like chicken wings and fish and chips have been added. Kahng says they are “pricing the items so that it does not hit the wallet hard”.

Kahng owns and operates Colorado Plus with Jae Kim. They first opened its doors in 2013, and before that owned a liquor store in the community.
