The New Westminster Salmonbellies were able to leapfrog over two other teams into second place with a convincing 17-4 win over the Coquitlam Adanacs on Thursday night. The Salmonbellies jumped over the Langley Thunder and Maple Ridge Burrards for second place in the tight WLA playoff race. Coquitlam’s playoff chances are fading quickly. Monday start for USDA rabies vaccine drops in the Valley
The U.S. Department of Agriculture has announced plans to distribute oral rabies vaccine bait for wildlife in the Valley. The distribution begins July 29th and will run through most of August. The bait is green, contained in a blister pack and scented. The smell attracts wild animals, who eat the bait and are then vaccinated against rabies.
