    Ohio County swears in two new Board of Education members

    OHIO COUNTY, W.Va. (WTRF) – It was an exciting Monday all over the Friendly City.

    In addition to the new Wheeling Mayor Denny Magruder being sworn-in , the Ohio County Board of Education officially has two new members.

    A special board meeting was held today which included a swearing-in ceremony with Judge David Simms presiding.

    New board members Bernie Albertini and Anne Hercules both took their seats on the board for the first time.

    “I’m excited to get started. A lot of good things, again Ohio County Schools are second to none in my book. So just really glad to be able to serve the community and move forward with this.”

    “I’m very excited. It was a great time today. It’s wonderful to serve and I appreciate everyone that went out and voted. And please continue to Support Ohio County Schools.”

    Anne Hercules, Ohio County Board of Education

    Albertini is currently an administrator at East Ohio Regional Hospital, while Hercules is a retired Ohio County Schools employee.

    After taking the oath, nominations for the restructuring of the board took place and David Croft is the new Board of Education president.
