WHEELING, W.Va. (WTRF) — West Virginia Governor Jim Justice was in the Friendly City on Tuesday to discuss the progress being made on the Wheeling Streetscape project.

He says one of the two main standards of life for people wanting to come to West Virginia are the schools and the roads.

The governor says getting to see the progress in Wheeling is something that truly excites him.

”This project may have been the toughest project in the whole state. So many complications with all the different lines running underneath the roads in every way and everything. This is not just a paving project or a new road or whatever. This took a lot, a lot of challenges and a lot of great engineering to pull off. But we’re getting there. We’re getting there. We’re going to finish it and it’s going to be beautiful beyond belief.”
