WHEELING, W.Va. (WTRF) — Day 3 of the 41st Annual Undo’s Upper Ohio Valley Italian Heritage Festival kicked off on Sunday with the festival’s annual Catholic mass at Heritage Port.

Each year, the festival invites everyone out to start the final day of the festival in prayer and worship.

Prior to the mass, people gathered to pray the rosary, which was done in English and Italian.

Bishop Mark Brennan from the Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston led the mass as hundreds of people made their way to the riverfront to worship.

Traditionally, many Italians are very religious, and their faith is one of the most important things in their lives. So to be able to do this, especially down here in this beautiful venue, it really gives you a good feeling for the rest of the world.”

Michele Fabbro – President, Undo’s Upper Ohio Valley Italian Heritage Festival

Following the mass, Undo’s Italian Restaurant was at the festival to offer an Italian dinner, a common tradition for Italians after attending mass.
