Ingrid Andress is making sure not to rush her rehabilitation. The 32-year-old country artist has reportedly checked herself into rebab following a disastrous "Star Spangled Banner" performance prior to the MLB's Home Run Derby. https://twitter.com/CollinRugg/status/1813277172817358901 Social media
eviscerated Andress shortly after her off-pitch performance, but then did a complete 180 and fully supported the singer-songwriter after she made the announcement that alcohol was to blame for the botched national anthem: "I’m not gonna bullshit y’all, I was drunk last night. I’m checking myself into a facility today to get the help I need. That was not me last night. I apologize to MLB, all the fans, and this country I love so much for that rendition. I’ll let y’all know how rehab is I hear it’s super fun." https://www.instagram.com/p/C9fdt_0uBwB/ And in the latest update in the Ingrid Andress recently rocky story, she's quietly canceled a number of the shows that she had planned for this summer. Many of the performances the Grammy nominated artist had scheduled have now been completely removed from her website, or been given a "Canceled" update, including a show at Nashville's Row One on Wednesday night, and Denver's Globe Hall next week. According to the artist's updated tour schedule, the next time she is set to perform is October 4th at the Country Calling Festival in Ocean City, Maryland. That's the only event that remains on the
schedule that was riddled with dates prior to her national anthem performance. Here's to hoping that Andress - who is very much a talented artist - gets back on her feet sooner rather than later. Props to her for prioritizing herself and her health during this challenging time. And who knows, maybe she'll have a remarkable redemption story that sees her perfectly pulling off a "Star Spangled Banner" performance in the future. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q7rtU805MGc&pp=ygUkaW5ncmlkIGFuZHJlc3MgbW9yZSBoZWFydHMgdGhhbiBtaW5l
