    A power duo.

Last night, pop star Sabrina Carpenter surprised the crowd during her headlining set at Outside Lands Festival in San Francisco by bringing out country star Kacey Musgraves .

They performed Nancy Sinatra’s classic “These Boots Are Made for Walkin’,” which was written by Lee Hazlewood and released as a single in December of 1965 as the second song from her debut 1966 album, Boots. The single became a huge hit, peaking at #1 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1966.

If you’ve never heard of Sabrina before, she’s recently blown up after opening for Taylor Swift on the Era’s tour, in addition to her two viral hits “Espresso” and more recently “Please Please Please.” If you’re on social media at all, you’ve definitely heard them (even if you didn’t realize it).

I don’t know a ton of her music, because I’m not really a fan of pop music, but I actually like a lot of Sabrina’s stuff so it’s cool to see her embracing country (like so many others) and having Kacey be part of her big headlining set like this.

Also, I think they chose the perfect song, and it goes without saying that they absolutely need to work together in an official capacity now. While maybe a bit of an unexpected pair, they put on a great show and I love them together.

    Check it out:
