Dudes Win Creative Boat Launch Of The Year For Dropping Fishing Boat Into Pond Off The Roof Of A Limo

Well, that’s one way to do it…
When the temperatures get warmer, folks are hitting the lake every year. With lake days come launching your sport boats and fishing boats off at the marina, seeing a variety of expert boat launchers, novice owners who are learning the ropes, and those who add their own flare to launching their boat, if you will.
Whether they are drunk, stupid, or just throwing a boat into the water for a shocking reaction from spectators, this summer has not disappointed when it comes to wild boat launches. From drunk idiots jackknifing their trailers to men attempting to be the winch and horribly busting their balls, we’ve seen it all.
However, this video might take the cake for the most creative boat launch of the year. When you think of how folks traditionally lower their vessel into a body of water, one often thinks of a truck or a large SUV backing a trailer down a ramp, gingerly unhooking their boat, and letting it float into the water.
This group of men put their fishing boat in a local pond doing none of that. This group of good-timin’ lads took what they had on the property, and Jerry rigged a way to get their boat into the pond.
So, what was their means of boat transportation? The roof of a limousine.
Somehow, this group managed to get their small fishing boat onto the roof of an old Cadillac limo, and their logical solution for getting the boat into the lake from there was to haul a** backward so the boat would slide off the roof. Let momentum and gravity do the work.
I highly doubt the plan was to bottom out the vehicle once the back tires went off the embankment, but as you can hear the man behind the wheel say after it’s all said and done:
“The boat is in.”
One man holding a fishing pole cannot stop laughing, watching it all unfold, and then seeing that the limo is stuck as the man behind the wheel tries to gas it after successfully getting the boat off the roof. As unhinged as this method is, it’s honestly one of the more creatively practical solutions we have seen thus far this boating season.
A user asked how they got the limo out of the bank, and they made a response video showing a tank pulling the vehicle out of the bank. I don’t know about y’all, but I want to be friends with these folks. They look like a helluva good time.
