Miranda Lambert announced that she has another song from her 10th studio album will be dropping next Wednesday, August 21st, and is a song she’s teased a little bit already called “No Man’s Land”:
“Sending another early ‘Postcard from Texas’ to y’all. ‘No Man’s Land’ will be out next Weds 8.21.”
“No Man’s Land” is definitely the softest, and slowest, song she’s put out so far, and it was written by Miranda along with frequent collaborator Luke Dick, where she sings about wanting to be loved, but also to be able to run free and wild:
“And even when she’s in your arms,
She’s still no man’s land,
So love her live a mustang, like a wild thing,
Better let her run free
If she wants to love you, you let her love you,
You give her everything”
The album was produced by Miranda alongside Jon Randall at Austin’s legendary Arlyn Recording Studios, and she has noted in several interviews now that it’s full of steel guitar and honky tonk production, and harkens back to some of her first, most legendary albums like Kerosene and Revolution, which as a longtime fan, is quite literally music to my ears.
And based on songs she’s already released like “Wranglers,” “Dammit Randy” And most recently “Alimony,” I’d say that’s proving to be the case, and this record stands to be one of the best she’s ever released.

And I cannot get “Alimony” out of my head, so if you haven’t heard it yet, do yourself a favor and give it a spin while you’re here:
