A single set to appear on F-1 Trillion.
Tomorrow is the day that Post Malone releases his highly anticipated country album F-1 Trillion. While this crossover has been a long time coming, and fans have been waiting patiently for this album to be released, Post Malone took one final step that fully welcomed him into the country music community last night: He stepped into the historic circle at the Grand Ole Opry.
The bill for his Opry debut could not have been more stacked with Lainey Wilson, Brad Paisley, Vince Gill, and others accompanying him for the night’s performance. Post Malone closed out the show and left the crowd on their feet, cheering and hollering for more.
In typical Post Malone fashion, he invited a few of his friends, including Lainey Wilson, to join him on stage.
There is no better place than at the Grand Ole Opry to debut a new song. And that is precisely what Malone and Wilson did, singing their duet from the forthcoming record, “Nosedive.”
The stunning duet highlights the feeling of your life being out of control but finding beauty in the chaos. This truly is the perfect song for anyone who is going through a drastic life change, just moved to a new city and is getting their bearings, or (for someone like me) who sometimes doubts if they are on the right path in life (which I guarantee many of your reading this are).
“Sometimes you’re drivin’
Sometimes you’re stallin’
Sometimes you’re flyin’
Sometimes you’re fallin’
But there’s still beauty in the nosedivе
Sometimes you’re runnin’
Sometimes you’re crawlin’
Sometimes you’re broke
But sometimes you’re ballin’
But there’s still beauty in the nosedive”
Malone opens the song, taking the first verse before Wilson joins him for the chorus. Their vocals on this track are beautiful, and the range highlights Post Malone’s strong vocal ability. The control both artists have in the chorus as there are many vocal slides and complex harmonies. Wilson’s verse drives home the message that Malone carves out with the opening lyrics, and together, they drive home the message that although life isn’t picture perfect at times, there is always goodness and bright life surrounding you.
This duo’s track is compelling, and I am very excited to hear the studio cut of this version. The countdown is on.
