“It’s Ridiculous… It’s Embarrassing” – New York Sports Radio Host Loses His Mind Over “Hawk Tuah Girl” Throwing Out First Pitch At Mets Game

The Hawk Tuah girl's first pitch at the New York Mets game is getting more coverage than the actual sport of baseball. That's just how the media machine goes though. A pitcher threw a no hitter? Who cares. Haliey Welch, A.K.A. the "Hawk Tuah Girl," throwing out the first pitch? Let's break that down like it's the most important moment on the planet (I guess writing about this makes me part of the problem though, doesn't it?). In case you missed it, here was Welch's first pitch at the Mets game. There's no reason why she shouldn't capitalize on her incredibly extended 15 minutes of fame. On the other hand, there are some people (most label this group "haters") that are saying having Welch throw out a first pitch at a baseball game, among the other opportunities she's gotten since her viral moment, isn't exactly sending a great message to the youth. And it's certainly not landing well with New York Mets fans, or at the very least, this one broadcaster from WFAN Sports Radio. Sal Licata absolutely lost his mind when he saw that Haliey Welch had thrown out the first pitch, saying it was a disgrace and once again put the Mets in the "baby brother" role with the New York Yankees: "The Yankees have Aaron Judge and Juan Soto breaking records.
