Tom Brady & Rob Gronkowski Go Incognito In Each Others’ Patriots Jerseys At Fanatics Fest

Too bad the New England Patriots don't have these two legends walking through their locker room doors in Foxborough anymore. Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski are the best quarterback and tight end to ever connect on a football field. I'll hear an argument for Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce once the Chiefs quarterback adds a few more Super Bowl wins to his resume. Brady and Gronk actually only overlapped for four of TB12's seven Super Bowl triumphs, so I guess there's a debate on those grounds. Anyway, point being
the Patriots now have the NFL's worst roster and are in shambles in the post Brady-Gronk-Bill Belichick era. At least for one day at Fanatics Fest in New York City, though, Pats Nation could daydream about their future Hall of Famers suiting up one last time. However, there was a twist: Gronk and Brady did a jersey swap, donned helmets, and actually duped some fans thanks to the guise of helmets. https://twitter.com/michaelrubin/status/1824590278281330868 That one kid asks "Gronk" (actually Brady) to say hi to his boys into his phone. The rising generation is cooked. I'm kidding. Or am I? No but really, this was such a fun stunt that had me all nostalgic, reminiscing on the greatness these two used to put on display on the gridiron. If Gronk still wanted to play, bulk up, and put his body through the wringer, I bet he'd still be pretty dominant. I'll be convinced Brady will never return from retirement once he hits 50, and even then, Team USA could call upon him one last time for
the 2028 Summer Olympics in flag football just for sh*ts and giggles. And because he'd actually light it up in Los Angeles. It's actually interesting to see how much Gronk has slimmed down since his playing days. The two guys don't look terribly dissimilar physique-wise with those baggy jerseys and helmets on. Harder than you'd expect to tell them apart, because after all, Brady is a damn big guy himself, listed last at 6-4, 225 pounds. Gronk used to carry 265 back in the day, but I'd heavily guesstimate he's closer to 240 or so now. At least we should continue to see Gronk make various public appearances as he's wont to do, and we'll have Brady in the FOX broadcast booth on the A-team to cover the 2024 season and the next Super Bowl. I'm just saying, though, maybe that Brady-Gronk package deal to Las Vegas that never went through could come to pass. Still the most mind-blowing NFL-related "what if?" scenario of my lifetime. https://twitter.com/SportsCenter/status/1561172723363205120 Who knows, if Davante Adams raises enough hell whilst sharing a division with Mahomes and catching balls from Aidan O'Connell or Gardner Minshew, it could happen! Brady is pursuing minority ownership in the Raiders after all. 'Tis a pipe dream, admittedly. Just like Brady and Gronk trotting out of the Gillette Stadium tunnel as players ever again.
