HARDY making it known that Post Malone is as genuine of a person as they come. F-1 Trillion was officially released last Friday, and Posty's introduction into the country music genre can already be heralded as a successful one. It
sold enough units to be certified gold before it was even released, and the project is now on its way to becoming Post Malone's first number one album since 2019 . So something tells me this won't be the last time Post Malone goes country. That's especially true because of all the high-profile relationships and connections the pop artist now has with some of country music's biggest names. You can just reference the star-studded track list that F-1 Trillion boasts to see how many country stars were more than happy to join in on Post's first crack at country. One of those names you'll see if Hardy, and on a recent episode of the Zach Sang Show podcast, the "Truck Bed" singer discussed what it was like to work with Posty
and how Malone came to Nashville and “fully immersed himself” in the culture of Music City and the way most country artists go about making music. Hardy first talked about how he fortunately got asked to be a part of the process, and that he and Post Malone hit it off: "Long story short, they started putting writing rooms together when it actually came time for him to come to town. And I got the call and we ended up hitting it off and writing a bunch of songs together over six months or whatever. We attempted probably 100 songs, but we probably wrote and completed five or six maybe." Zach Sang then asked what Hardy learned from Post Malone as they worked to create music together, and interestingly, Hardy took a lot of non-music stuff away from being in the same room as Post:
"I definitely learned a very different process. But something I learned from him as a person though is that... he makes everyone in the room feel important and appreciated. He's very kind. He's one of the biggest music celebrities in the world in the past 10 years. And you would never know it. He's very down to Earth. It was a testament to times where I would be irritated or didn't want a lot of people in the room. Whatever it was... didn't feel like I needed to speak to everybody in the room. And I'm like, 'Man this guy is one of the biggest celebrities in the world, and he's going around in a circle and shaking people's hands.'"
