The fifth anniversary since the release of Country Squire. In honor of the album's half-decade anniversary, Tyler Childers reposted a snippet of his video from 2019 with Spotify, taking fans to the camper where parts of the record came to life. The camper's name inspired the name of the record, which he calls the Country Squire. Moments like this from Childers are sporadic, as he keeps his social media posts (typically) strictly to music news and tour announcements. Since the Kentucky native lives in a rural area of his home state and stays off the grid in his home life, he adopted a similar principle regarding his fame. Lay low and let his music speak for itself. Childers let cameras on his Kentucky property to show off the camper that birthed the title single, "Country Squire." Tyler Childers goes full-on
MTV Cribs in the intro, falling back into a bean bag inside the stripped camper. "And this is where the magic happens. This is where'd you be sleeping." Childers tells the cameraman that he and Senora May are renovating the vintage camper. The camper was bare-bones when this video was filmed, but the manual labor inspired him. "And here is where I wrote the 'Country Squire.' I was working, and I had my guitar and took a break and was just playing and thinking about the camper...because I was working on the camper." As he says this, the camera shows chicken scratch of lyrics on wooden beams, presumably where Childers wrote down portions of the lyrics as they came to him. The lyrics of the song directly correlate with the renovations the couple was making to their camper,
"And when I ain't out playin' on my six-string
    With the nickles I acquire
I'm tryin' to fix her up a castle
It's called the Country Squire..." Childers maps out to viewers what he and Senora May hope to do with the rest of the space and shows off the onions that his father-in-law has been storing in the construction zone...I bet that is adding a pleasant aroma to the mix. Behind-the-scenes videos like this show that artists can get inspiration for a ditty in some spaces most would consider highly uninspiring. "So yeah, that was the nickel tour of the Country Squire from the album 'Country Squire' from the song "Country Squire." I'm not good at goodbyes, so just go on...get." This video is a rarity from Childers, but I'd love to have a few more of these come out about where he likes to write.
