Whose job is it to do something like this? Surely it can't be for sport. Pardon my ignorance on the art and occupation of tending to a bask of crocodiles, but this ranks right up there on the, "10 Worst Ways To Spend My Time On Earth" power rankings. We've got a dude racing around this fleet of killer crocs, with several of them chomping at him, ready to inflict some serious damage with those lethal jaws. He doesn't seem terribly bothered by any of it. If one of 'em acts, up whack 'em in the head with this very-long shovel. https://twitter.com/TheFigen_/status/1826602884500197734 How many of us would survive more than a week if we had to do this on the reg? I'm certain I wouldn't. Typically, crocodiles feast upon smaller creatures, as any sort of vicious carnivore does. They will attack if something larger accidentally treads upon them, though. The man in this video is deliberately charging into the heart of the bask for reasons unclear to me other than getting some killer croc footage. The person who reshared this on social media may or may not be onto something re: crocodiles being afraid of shovels. More likely than not, this ain't the shovel wielder's first rodeo, so I assume the crocs just straight-up don't like being smacked in the noggin by a blunt object more than fearing the shovel itself. It's not as if they encounter that many shovels in their natural habitats. Not sure if I should send good vibes to the OG videographer/shovel guy, because this whole scene feels kind of cruel to the crocs. Then again, you gotta do what you gotta do to survive whatever puts you in this situation. No sure where this location is geographically, but it seems like
classic "Florida Man" headline fodder .
