House Cat Seems Way Too Happy To See A Mountain Lion Through The Sliding Glass Door

There's not a more brave animal on the planet than a house cat that's never been tested. The confidence of cats that spend all of their time inside is through the roof. Outside cats are a little more knowledgable on how the real world works, but if an inside cat hasn't ever faced real danger, they are often a little naive when it comes to facing off against bigger animals. Luckily for this small cat in Canada (Vancouver Island to be specific), there was a pane of glass that separated it from the big cat creepily peering inside. And instead of this being a high-stakes, potentially violent standoff, the two cats from different worlds seemed more interested in one another more than anything else. Cats recognize cats I guess? The indoor cat named Phoebe pawed at the window playfully, and every so often, the mountain lion would do the same. It was interesting to see the two animals - one wild and one domesticated - interact with one another. Though I'm not sure I would have been as casual recording this as the TikToker that posted this clip. Check it out:
How about that? Those that viewed the video on TikTok were blown away by every aspect of it. The cats seemingly getting along and the trust in the sliding glass door were among some of the things that social media users pointed out and joked about in the comment section below the post: "This would terrify me but congrats on your reverse zoo girlie, love that for you."
"What's the opposite of 'pspspsps?'" "Your faith in the sliding glass door is admirable." "My toxic trait would be trying to play with it with cat toys through the glass." "Danger kitty is not sure how to get snack out of container."
