These musicians often play for tips and hope that one day, they will be discovered and make it out of the nomadic lifestyle that comes with busking. If you recall , in 2022, an American Idol contestant, Maurice , was asked on stage in Atlanta to sing with Morgan Wallen after he saw a video of him performing "Whiskey Glasses." After videos of his performance with Wallen surfaced on the internet, social media found that Maurice had quite a catalog of country performances on the streets of New Orleans. One of his most infamous performances was of Hank Williams Jr.'s "Family Tradition," when a woman was hit by a truck in front of him. It's top-tier comedy, and Maurice does not miss a beat while still commenting on what unfolds before him. Maurice has been in the French Quarter all summer, and one of his most recent performances is taking off again on social media. While performing on top of an SUV, Maurice lays down a stellar cover of Billy Currington's "Good Directions." Maurice not only accompanies himself on guitar but also on the trombone. After opening the video with him on trombone, Maurice opens his mouth, and his stellar vocals fill the street as he sings the love song from 2018. While I am sure this video clip would have gone viral with his vocal talent alone, Maurice picked up his dog, put him on the body of his guitar, and started strumming the guitar. The puppy's paw rested on top of his hand, and it appeared that his dog was playing the guitar. Nothing will make people stop and listen quicker than a guitar-playing dog. In addition to the stellar performance, an adorable older couple was dancing below him, making the video look like it's straight from a movie.
