Vince Gill Reveals That He Has NEVER Sent A Text Message: “I’m Pretty Old School”

Not gonna lie, I'm kind of jealous. Of course these days we're all pretty much tied to our cell phones. Those little squares in our pockets control our lives, from texting and emailing to scrolling social media and listening to music. Oh yeah, and making phone calls I guess. But Vince Gill seems to be living a simpler life. The country music legend revealed recently that he's NEVER sent a text message: "I've never sent a text. I'm the most non-tech guy that ever walked earth. I like to talk to people. I'm pretty old school and all that, so I don't understand how it all works but everybody's having a pretty good time with it so I'm good." NEVER? How do people get ahold of him? Actual phone calls? I get anxiety any time my phone rings so that sounds worse than texting. Now I'm also wondering what kind of cell phone Vince has - or if he even has one. Is he walking around raw-dogging life without a cell phone, or does he at least have one of those old-school Nokia phones for emergencies? So many questions. Of course, Vince does come from a different time. At 67 years old, he was around long before cell phones were a necessity, so I guess you just get used to it and don't want to change what's working. And honestly, not having to check text messages and emails and all that shit on my phone sounds amazing. Right now I have 412 unread text messages and over 18,000 unread emails just staring me in the face every time I open my phone, so maybe Vince is on to something by just not doing it at all. I mean, he seems to be pretty happy - and I think we may have figured out his secret.
