Ella Langley And Riley Green Meet At An Old-Timey Saloon In New Music Video For “You Look Like You Love Me”

Today, Ella Langley released an old-timey new music video for her virally popular hit “ “You Look Like You Love Me” that features Riley Green and was included on Ella’s debut studio album Hungover . It's one of the most well-done music videos I've seen in a very long time, and brings the song to life an a completely new, creative way where Ella and Riley meet in a Wild West saloon circa 1850 or so. You'll even see a few guest appearances from Jamey Johnson, who has a pretty big role at the end of the video (I don't want to give too much away), and Riley's incredibly famous dog, Carl . Ella looks amazing and I love her costume, and obviously we owe her a huge thanks for giving us all the old school cowboy bandit character Riley plays. I didn't know I even needed that, but I certainly did... In terms of the actual song, Ella wrote most of it with Aaron Ratiere, while Riley came up with the words for his second verse, and it has become incredibly popular online, especially on TikTok. I mean, you can't even get on Instagram or TikTok and scroll for even a minute without hearing part of the song and in today's world, that actually means a lot. The cool, sort of vintage and throwback sound is thanks to the multiple speaking parts that are very much Johnny Cash-style, which has clearly resonated, and lyrically, it's fun to hear Ella walking up to a cute cowboy at the bar making the first move in a bit of a role reversal from the typical country song. She actually wrote and co-directed the video alongside Wales Toney and JP Park, and I think she did knockout job with everything from the storyline to the visuals and costumes. It's fun to see an artist get really creative in this way, and like I said, it gives the song an entirely new life and I'm into it.
