Some new Chris Stapleton on the way. Technically, I guess saying "some reimagined Stapleton on the way" would be more accurate. The country star posted a picture of a disco ball with this caption earlier today, which has many speculating that Stapleton and Dua Lipa are finally releasing their ACM duet as an official, studio-version collaboration:
"'Think I'm In Love With You.' Tomorrow at Noon CT." https://twitter.com/chrisstapleton/status/1828821330504142958?s=46&t=sK4ZxpXri80bfkXt_M8Cog Notice that Stapleton didn't directly mention or tag Dua Lipa in that post, but it's hard to imagine this track being anything else (especially with the disco ball included as a part of the teaser). Unless it's just a disco-inspired music video? Of course, Dua Lipa and Stapleton rocked the stage at the 59th Annual ACM Awards earlier this year with a duet of the song, which is from the country star's most recent album Higher . The song by itself is wonderfully funky, and really showcases some of the vocal and musical talent that Stapleton can have outside
of the construct of country music. And though it's great on it's own, people really connected and fell in love with it when he performed it as a duet alongside Dua Lipa. Which you can watch here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OFyCSDzn2Q0 The live recording of the duet from that very performance was released on all music platforms, so it's not like country music fans haven't been able to access the song. However, both Stapleton and Dua Lipa perhaps thought that the track deserved its own studio version after their collaboration was so well received at the ACM Awards. If the song is stuck in your head now and you can't wait until tomorrow at "Noon CT" for it to release, the good news is that you can press play on the duet above, or you can check out Stapleton's solo version of the song. Just consider it a duet that Stapleton performed both parts of (sounds silly, I know, but I'd listen to Chris Stapleton sing duets by himself all day long): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0X0ommzCmCQ
