Possibly the most embarrassing submerged car story in the history of automobiles. Philadelphia Police worked much of the morning getting a vehicle out of the Schuylkill River in the Fairmount Park area. The 2020 Range Rover had become submerged in the water sometime in the very early hours of the morning. https://twitter.com/AlyssaCristelli/status/1828743648097214865 How did the Range Rover get into the river, you might be asking? Police suspect that the car rolled in on accident, and the story behind it is one that the two people who were inside the car will never live down. Authorities believe that the vehicle was parked by the river in the late night-early morning hours because the couple inside was "getting it on." At one point, in the midst of all the hustle and bustle that was going on inside the car, it's believed that they accidentally shifted the car from park to drive. In a panic, and as the car went quickly down towards the river, both individuals jumped out of the moving vehicle (naked I assume?) before it crashed into the river. They are physically unharmed, but you have to think mentally and emotionally, they aren't doing so well. Does any form of car insurance have a "Getting Busy & Car Rolls Into River" policy? Police apparently got to the scene soon after the car went in, and around 6:30 a.m. local time, they were still working to get the Range Rover out of the river. As you'll be able to see in the video below, they were eventually successful in retrieving the car - a car that will certainly live in infamy in  Fairmount Park neighborhood.
