A unique twist on a really cool song. Today, Chris Stapleton released a new music video for "Think I’m In Love With You," which was included on his 2023 Higher album. A solo write by Chris, the song definitely leans into the funkier, more soulful sensibilities you'll hear sprinkled into so much of the Kentucky native's music, and is simply a sweet love song that of course shows off his incredible vocals. The video was directed by Running Bear, choreographed by JaQuel Knight and produced by Strange Arcade, and stars actor Andre Royo (
The Wire, Empire , etc.). It flashes through a man's life leading up to his funeral, and while certainly quirky, shows a beautiful love story and give the songs a much deeper meaning, in my very humble opinion. While Chris previously performed "Think I’m In Love With You" with pop star Dua Lipa at the ACM Awards, and some suspected this might be an official duet version, he kept the original solo version (which is what's at country radio) for this video and I definitely think that was the right choice. It's always refreshing to see a music video that is full of actual creativity and enhances the song, something that feels like a lost art in a lot of ways today. The shots of the couple dancing at a disco are really fun, and if you're a widow or have ever lost a significant other, this will certainly hit home. Of course, Chris doesn't miss, and I really enjoyed watching this today and think you will too... check it out here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5-8D5ILlhNE
