Riley Green and Ella Langley are taking you behind the scenes for the "You Look Like You Love Me" music video. Yesterday, the two country stars dropped a Wild West-inspired music video for their hit duet. When Langley started teasing the single, the talking style instantly captivated fans, and when the studio cut featuring Riley Green came out, it was an instant hit among fans. The story detailing a woman approaching a man at a bar is the perfect modern-day love (for the night) story and poses a cheeky twist on picking up someone at the bar. Langley, who co-directed the video, noted in an exclusive with
Entertainment Tonight that the idea for a Western music video popped into her mind off the jump. "The music video is based as an old Western. We just kind of envisioned that while we were writing the song, having an old saloon, bar-type thing. I grew up watching old Westerns, and it kind of plays to the talking in the verses, old country songs. Pay a little homage to what we grew up on." Green responds to Langley's explanation of how the video came to life with a funny joke. "I didn't even know it was a Western-themed video; this is just what I wore." As he is decked out in his cowboy apparel. Many fans took to his social media after the video's release, hoping that he would make an acting crossover as he sports the attire very well. Yellowstone,
if you're hiring , Riley Green might be your man. Langley takes back the lead, speaking to the media publication and noting why she chose a fellow Alabama native to be featured on the single. "I think Riley was the perfect person because we both grew up on the same kind of music. When I think of the talking in the song, I think of 'You Never Even Call Me By My Name,'  the talking in the back half of that song. And I think that's kind of what you (Riley) think of too. You know...bringing some Alabama out to shine in the world." Green agreed with Langley that this song reminded him of many older country artists like Chris LeDoux, and he is thrilled to see a song with such strong influence from the genre's roots be so successful. The duo also noted that they didn't think this song would come out at one point, and because the two were on tour together, it had a shining moment. Green noted that he was the one to encourage Langley to perform it with him one night on stage, and the rest is history.
"It definitely wasn't a planned thing, but Ella being out on tour with me was such a great thing and probably why this song happened. So, it's always cool when things are really organic, and people that you're just a fan of musically can work together. Sometimes stuff like this happens, and it really works." I am so glad this impromptu performance on stage from the tour led to this masterpiece of a song. It's beyond catchy, and the visuals accompanying the tale in the lyrics create a cinematic experience. I think this song will hang around in people's minds for years to come. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dm2TSMerGPQ&pp=ygUZeW91IGxvb2sgbGlrZSB5b3UgbG92ZSBtZQ%3D%3D
