That guy's either incredibly brave or incredibly stupid. When it comes to hostile environments for visiting fans, WVU has to be near the top of the top of the list. Mountaineer fans aren't exactly known for their hospitality towards opposing fans in Morgantown. And there's no doubt it's going to be even more hostile this weekend, as WVU opens their season at home against #8 ranked Penn State, with high expectations for the team in the revamped Big 12 for Coach Neal Brown's sixth season. The party kicked off early this weekend, with WVU alum Pat McAfee bringing his ESPN show to Morgantown in front of a massive - and rowdy - crowd. Schools in the area were canceled, no doubt the booze was flowing, and one kid even
won free tuition from McAfee after Deuce McBride of the New York Knicks hit an incredible shot over top of the crowd. The vibes were definitely high...which makes it a dangerous place for Penn State fans, as one guy learned when he tried to crash the party. This poor Penn State fan...well, no, I won't say poor Penn State fan because it seems like he was taunting the crowd to get a rise out of them. So this dumbass wanted the smoke, and well, he got it. The video picks up with a guy coming in and laying a tackle on the guy, before he gets back and up begins getting absolutely pelted with water bottles as he continues to talk shit to the crowd. https://twitter.com/incivilenginEER/status/1829577737490870332 I mean, props to the guy for standing his ground. It didn't look like he had anybody else with him either, just one guy facing off with an angry mob like a scene from Tiananmen Square. Eventually the crowd ran him off, but man...he either didn't know what he was walking into, or came in wanting to rile up the fanbase.
