Leave it up to Cody Jinks to deliver a face-melting cover of AC/DC. When it comes to modern day outlaw country, good luck finding someone who embodies the genre better than Cody Jinks. The country singer has tremendous range, as he's shown in his catalogue, going from slower songs like "Sober Thing" to southern rock anthems like "Must Be The Whiskey." And if you've ever listened to Jinks and thought his vocals would match up well with a classic rock cover, you are in luck. Earlier today, Cody Jinks uploaded a performance from a recent Detroit concert where he elected to cover AC/DC's "It's A Long Way To The Top (If You Want To Rock and Roll)." Cody Jinks might have been playing acoustic guitar, but it was
electric - if you catch my drift. AC/DC released the song all the way back in 1975 as a part of their iconic T.N.T. album. Obviously, the song has had tremendous staying power, as do much of their recordings. And that's partly thanks to artists like Jinks who have an appreciation for rock and roll and want to help carry on the legacy of some of the greats. I'd imagine AC/DC would approve of this version of "It's A Long Way To The Top (If You Want To Rock and Roll)." Check it out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KjKyJwWmwSI COME ON WITH IT. As always, Cody Jinks brought it with the cover, and it honestly just makes me think that a rock and roll cover album could suit the outlaw country artist very well. I'd at least be here for it, and based upon some of the comments that fans left below the video, there are some tried-and-true Jinks fans that would support that idea as well:
"Never clicked on something so fast. Rock on brother." "Badass. Cody rocks!" "Oh sh*t you guys rocked that." "Hell yeah! More of this man! I don't know a single country boy that didn't have a steady diet of rock AND country." "I hate AC/DC because of the lead singer's voice. This is much better."

Why try to sing someone else’s hit? You think you can do better? NOT!
