Reba Set To Leave ‘The Voice’ After Season 26

Reba McEntire will be on to other projects after the upcoming season of The Voice airs. The iconic country star joined on as one of the show's judges in 2023, replacing Blake Shelton, who had been a staple of the show since it's inception. McEntire will have served as a judge for three seasons when she leaves the show. Reba certainly made the most of her time with the show, and had an immediate impact when she joined onto the singing competition as a judge and coach, as you can see in the clip below: https://twitter.com/NBCTheVoice/status/1714385801981898857 Why is Reba leaving The Voice ? Well, it might have to do with all of the other projects she has on her plate. The 69-year-old artist had an album and book titled Not That Fancy release late last year, she hosted the 2024 ACM Awards , and now has a sitcom called Happy’s Place headed to NBC this Fall... all while she was also fulfilling her duties on The Voice . You would think that 3-time Grammy winning artist would want to slow things down at some point, but one could argue that this is the busiest that Reba has been in the entirety (one might even say McEntirety) of her illustrious career. She must like staying busy, and she evidently likes putting together sitcoms. Reba’s new project will be different than her beloved show from the 2000’s (in which she played a fictitious version of herself), but it will share some similarities - like her co-star and real life best friend, Melissa Peterman, being a part of the cast. Reba had initially met the rumors that she was leaving The Voice by assuring fans that she wasn't going anywhere. However, her and NBC's tune (singing pun intended) have apparently changed, as it's now confirmed that McEntire won't be returning after Season 26. But that's not to say that that we won't be seeing the beloved Reba McEntire. Like I mentioned, the country star is really as busy as ever, and it wouldn't be a surprise if Reba were to release some new music or another book sometime soon after the success of last year's Not That Fancy .
