“You Ain’t Going To See Me In Skinny Jeans” – Lainey Wilson Says She’s Keeping Her Signature Bell-Bottom Style

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Lainey Wilson is of course known for her signature bell-bottom pants, which have become synonymous with her overall style as both an artist and a person. And we all know how well she pulls them off... a couple years ago, she went mega viral after a video of an absolutely perfect angle of her butt looking fantastic in a pair of leopard print bell-bottoms was all over the internet: Lainey took all of that attention in stride, poking fun at herself throughout the tidal wave of attention, saying more than once that if that attention would ultimately point people to her music, she didn’t really care … And in a recent interview with People , Lainey opened up about her personal style, saying she's been wearing bell-bottoms since she was a little girl and she doesn't ever plan to stop: “A few years in [to her music career], I realized pretty quickly that as a decent female singer-songwriter, that's not enough. I needed to do something that made me stand out and stand apart. I'll probably be 90 years old and still wearing bell-bottoms — I don't think anybody's ever seen my ankles!" She admitted that not everyone was a fan of her look at first, though she loved it and believed in it so it didn't matter what anyone else thought: "There were times where people looked at me crazy, thinking, ‘What in the world are you doing? Looks like you stepped out of the '70s.’ But I just kept doing it because I believed in it. I believed that eventually if you throw something against the wall long enough that it will stick." And while Lainey has really stuck with the bell-bottoms, and I haven't seen her wear anything else on her rocketship to fame, she didn't rule out switching it up one day... maybe even with a dress, though she vowed we'd never see her "in skinny jeans" (sorry, guys): "At the end of the day, I'm not going to say that I'm not going to wear anything, because who knows? A lot of people have never seen me in a dress. You ain't going to see me in skinny jeans." I love Lainey's style and seeing all the different ways she styles bell-bottom pants, but I would also love to see her in a big fancy dress too because she would look incredible.
