Post Malone Says He Cut Another Unreleased Song With Morgan Wallen

Another hit in the making. Post Malone was a guest on comedian Theo Von's This Past Weekend podcast today (though it was filmed a couple weeks ago), where they of course talked all about Posty's new country album F-1 Trillion and all of the success he's had with that thus far. And obviously, his mega crossover hit "I Had Some Help" with Morgan Wallen came up, which was written by Malone and Wallen along with producers Louis Bell, Charlie Handsome and Hoskins, along with Ernest, Ashley Gorley and Chandler Walters. While detailing how it happened naturally while they were all in the studio together one night just hanging out and drinking beer, Post revealed that he and Morgan actually cut another song, which he called "awesome." Post also admitted that his memory of doing a verse for that one was vague, because it was a long night, but considering the success they had with the aforementioned "I Had Some Help" I don't see why this one won't get released eventually, too: "We wrote it together, we cut another song too. I think I remember doing a verse... it was one of those long nights. That song's awesome, too. I don't know if he's gonna do anything with it, but I remember it being awesome. Also, I was having a lot of fun. But we were just all together, [Chandler] was there and Ern, it was just killer. I love writing songs with my buddies." Morgan has teased some new music lately, and said he's been in the studio , so I wouldn't be surprised to see another Post/Morgan collab end up on his next album, whenever that should come around. Post also talked about how new he was to the way Music City when he started the album that became F-1 Trillion , and different the process of writing of country songs worked compared to what he's used to in the pop and rap genres. Songwriting is a 9 to 5 job for so many people in Nashville, though Post kept his normal schedule of going to write around 7PM and staying in the studio until the wee hours of the morning with his new country friends on this go around, which did a number on Morgan. Sounds like they got some good songs out of doing it that way, though... stay tuned.
