That's going to leave a mark. As the seasons change, football is starting again, chili season is here, and the rodeo world is gearing up for the National Finals Rodeo. While we are still a few months out from the Super Bowl of rodeos, many competitors have been ensuring their skills are up to par to compete on the big stage throughout the summer and the beginning of this fall. While traditional rodeo events include barrel racing, bull riding, team roping, and more, a portion of the rodeoing that is highly entertaining but is also not featured in every rodeo is bullfighting. Bullfighters are integral to the sport, helping distract the angry bulls when the rider falls off. They pull the animal's attention away from the person near them on the ground, and their goal is to draw the bull closer to them so the rider can get up and make it to a safe location. When they are not helping bull riders, you can find these helpful rodeo hands competing in their own competitions, showing off the tricks and smoke screens that help distract the large animals. At a recent Fort Worth bullfighter competition, one man was unlucky and got tossed like many bull riders. As he was taunting the bull, he made a pass to run in front of it. As the bull approached him, it appeared he was trying to do a number, where he would run and jump over the animal, tumbling on the other side. That was far from what unfolded in front of the crowd. The bull lowers its head and rams him, sending the bullfighter
flying . I never thought 100+ pounds could look light as a feather until I saw this clip. The man was launched a reasonable distance before he came down and hit the fencing in the arena. The bull was not done with him and came at him, ready to push him around with his horns, driving him further into the ground. The men and other bullfighters in the shoot were quick on the scene and sprung into action before things got ugly. Those in the crowd definitely got a show that night, though it wasn't one they expected. Hopefully, that bullfighter isn't too banged up after being a living ragdoll. https://twitter.com/dallastexastv/status/1831899431723266463?s=42
