Lukas Nelson Teases Official Studio Duet Of Adele’s “Someone Like You” With Sierra Ferrell & The Travelin’ McCourys

The duo we very much NEED. Lukas Nelson and Sierra Ferrell seemingly have something up their (figurative) sleeves, as Lukas posted a photo of two cowboy hats sitting on a table in a studio, tagging Sierra and bluegrass band The Travelin' McCourys with a caption of lyrics from Adele's mega hit "Someone Like You": "I had hoped you’d see my face…" https://www.instagram.com/p/C_l17doyHeg/ The duo previously performed an incredible, bluegrass rendition of the song at DelFest in Cumberland, Maryland earlier this year, and I was truly blown away by the performance. Written by Adele along with Dan Wilson, "Someone Like You" of course became a huge hit when she included it as the second single for her 2011 second studio album, 21 . It became her first #1 single in the UK, and her second #1 in the U.S. after “Rolling in the Deep.” I've always appreciated her artistry and music, and it really is a gorgeous, simple and stripped-back ballad that launched Adele into superstardom, and I think Lukas and Sierra have (and will) do it more than justice. Lukas announced not long ago that after this year, his longtime band Promise of the Real will be on an indefinite hiatus, so it seems that he's already testing out some new stuff and hopefully we'll get to hear this one sooner rather than later. I mean, even just vocally, I don't know of many other country artists that can touch them right now.
