Internet Sleuths Think Deshaun Watson Created A Burner Account To Defend His Terrible Performance In Cleveland Browns Opener

Did Cleveland Browns QB Deshaun Watson really create a fake social media account to defend his lackluster showing last weekend? He's historically stooped pretty low with some other off-the-field things, so it wouldn't be all that surprising if the quarterback was trying to help his image by booting up a burner account on X (formerly Twitter). But with the recent sexual assault allegations, his poor play might not be the thing he needs to defend as of right now. In case you missed it, Deshaun Watson was hit with a
new lawsuit yesterday that stems from an encounter he had with "Jane Doe" back in 2020. The plaintiff in the lawsuit (who is represented by the lawyer that helped in other lawsuits against Watson in 2021) sued Watson in Houston for sexual assault and battery along with intentional infliction of emotional distress. Most thought that the lawsuits connected to Watson's run of sexual misconduct were in the past, but that doesn't appear to be the case. The Cleveland Browns were certainly banking on them to be over since they signed him to a 5-year, $230 million contract – which is now viewed as one of the worst in the league . But fast forward to 2024 and new allegations have emerged against Watson – a day after the quarterback struggled immensely in the Browns season opener against the Dallas Cowboys. So add all of that on top of Watson's poor start to the 2024 season and you've got yourself a complete, hot mess in Cleveland, Ohio. That is unless you ask X user Leroy Bickerstaff, who seems to
really be standing up for Deshaun Watson... to the point where internet sleuths think that this social media account (which joined the site in September 2024) is actually Deshaun Watson himself. Come to think of it, Leroy Bickerstaff does seem like a name you would come up with out of thin air. But it also just happens to be the last name of the recently-fired head coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers, J.B. Bickerstaff, and his father Bernie Bickerstaff, who serves as a Senior Adviser for the Cavs. You can be your own judge as you watch the screen recording that one user took of all of Leroy Bickerstaff's posts as of late. Most of them refer to Watson simply as "4" and seem to blame most of the offensive issues on the offensive line. It's the most pro-Deshaun rhetoric you'll ever see, which is why a lot of people think that the only person that could be behind the account is the Cleveland Browns quarterback.
