Woman Left Bloodied & Battered After Getting Attacked By Pack Of Otters While Out For A Jog

If you need an excuse to not go out on a jog, here it is. The odds of being jumped by a group of otters while you are laying on your couch? Virtually zero. On the other hand, the chance of having to fight for your life against otters goes way up if you are to go outside on a jog. So just do with that information as you wish. Otter attack might seem like a rare occurrence, but allow me to direct your attention to some very scary incidents that have taken place in just the past couple of years. The little creatures pack a mighty punch, especially when they work together to do some of these things below: -Brutally injured a woman in Montana that
required her to be airlifted -Group of them has ganged up on an alligator - Attacked a man swimming in a California lake, and the man was quoted as thinking he was "going to die" And believe it or not, there's even more violent otter stories that I could link to. To say the little creatures have been on a terrifying tear would be an understatement . They might look cute and cuddly, but they are as viscous as wild animals come. Just ask this woman in Malaysia who was attacked while she was on a jog in Tanjung Aru Recreation Park. She was left bloodied and battered after multiple otters jumped out onto the trail she was running on and scratched, clawed and bit at her. It's believed that the woman had to take on eight otters at once, and they were all apparently working together to maul the woman in an unprovoked attack. Sabah Wildlife Department Director Roland Oliver Niun said that the otters are believed to be the culprits in this attack, and he thinks their aggressiveness likely stems from park goers feeding them:
"Preliminary investigations found that a group of otters entered the recreation center to look for food in the park pond. There is indeed a population of wild otters near the park, and we also see a change in the behavior of the animals when the community feeds them." https://twitter.com/NewsBFM/status/1833869335527559283 The woman ended up having to go to the hospital to be treated for the wounds and injuries she suffered at the paws of the otter group. A wildlife team was quickly sent to the park to monitor the otters, and after investigating, they believe the little animals were trying to forage for food in the park's pond when they crossed paths with the runner. Wildlife officials plan to try and bolster the fence that surrounds the park in order to keep these violent otters out. The presumed otter attackers can be seen running amuck in the very park they attacked the jogger in the video below: https://twitter.com/DailyExpress_MY/status/1833833197874102475
