Garth Brooks Announces Dates For Final Three Weekends Of ‘Garth Brooks/Plus ONE’ Las Vegas Residency

The final run. Today, Garth Brooks announced the dates for the final three weekends of his Garth Brooks/Plus ONE Las Vegas residency, which will take place next February and March. The shows are at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, and have a “no phone policy,” which probably actually makes the show a much more enjoyable experience, honestly. Garth says this Caesars gig has been his "favorite so far" because of the freedom he's had to make the shows exactly what he wants them to be: "I can't believe it has come and gone, already. The Caesars gig has been my favorite so far. No setlist, no rules, just the music and the listener come first. I LOVE that! These last shows are going to be hard for me, emotionally, because I can't stand the thought of this residency being over." After embarking on a stadium tour for a lot of last year, and the past few years prior, Garth wanted to try something different and “shrink it back down” from headlining massive stadiums to tens of thousands of fans. When he made the announcement about this new project on GMA a while back, he explained that they’ll take a bit of a different approach with these new shows… He’s calling it a one man show, where he’ll have his band members sitting in the audience at the ready for whenever he wants to pull them up on stage:

“We’re calling it the ‘Plus ONE’ because we’re going to try something we’ve never tried before. The band is coming but It’s the one-man show.

They’re going to sit in the audience, so any time you want a fiddle just to come up and join you, any time you just want percussion and background to come up and sing or it’s just you — or just bring the whole band up to do ‘Friends in Low Places’ — this should be stupid.”

Garth had a multi-year residency in Vegas at the Encore Theater at Wynn Las Vegas from 2009 to 2013.
