The Internet Is Convinced That Tom Brady Is Going To Come Out Of Retirement To Play For The Dolphins Following Tua’s Concussion

Hey, whatever gets him out of the TV booth. Tom Brady officially (for real this time) retired from the NFL back in 2022, after spending three seasons - and winning a Super Bowl - with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers following his legendary run with the New England Patriots. Of course there's been plenty of speculation about a return to the field, something Brady never seems to entirely rule out, but the Hall of Famer seems to have hung it up for good after stepping into the broadcast booth for NFL on Fox last weekend. But his TV debut drew...well,
mixed reviews . https://twitter.com/awfulannouncing/status/1832888410073391110 And in fairness to Brady, the game between the Dallas Cowboys and the Cleveland Browns turned out to be a snoozefest because...well, the Browns. But many people took to social media to criticize Brady's performance, calling it "atrocious" and the worst football performance of his career. https://twitter.com/NYJ_Matt/status/1832880357374615822 https://twitter.com/austingayle_/status/1832892992828629167 Yeah, it wasn't great. But many think he won't end up being in the booth very long, after Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa went down last night during a game against the Buffalo Bills with yet another concussion. The Dolphins QB has now suffered at least three serious concussions in his career, leaving his future not only this season, but in his career in jeopardy. There are plenty who think it's time for Tua to put his health first and hang it up, though it's obviously too early to talk about that as he works to recover. But regardless, the Dolphins now have a decision to make at quarterback. Right now, their backup is Skylar Thompson, a 7th round draft pick out of Kansas State who's started three games in his NFL career up to this point. Coach Mike McDaniel said that the team is moving forward with Skylar Thompson as their guy, and he didn't look terrible when he came in last night against the Bills, but by that point the game was already well out of reach for the Dolphins so it's hard to really get a read on what the team has behind center. So with the QB situation in Miami up in the air, many see only one possible solution: Bring Tom Brady out of retirement. Now, obviously it may sound like wishful thinking. But Brady has always seemed to leave the door open for a return, and it seems like if he were going to do it anywhere, it would be Miami. He lives in Florida now. And it's been reported that Brady was even in talks to become part owner, as well as starting QB, for the Dolphins back in 2022, before a lawsuit from then-Dolphins coach Brian Flores blew up the plan to bring Brady and then-Saints coach Sean Payton to Miami. (It's a convoluted story, but you can
read more about it here ). Either way, there's clearly interest from Brady in playing for the Dolphins. And now that they're somewhat desperate for a QB, many are convinced TB12 is going to come out of retirement to help out the team. Lainey Wilson's boyfriend, former Pittsburgh Steelers QB Duck Hodges, made the prediction last night: https://twitter.com/DevlinHodges10/status/1834422470876524905 And there are plenty out there who think it's going to happen: https://twitter.com/KingFazir/status/1834431822802940090 https://twitter.com/_MLFootball/status/1834429353108594770 https://twitter.com/DamnitChristoff/status/1834422757091676528 I know we're all sick of the Brady un-retirement talk at this point, but honestly, this is the first one that's really made sense in a while. I'm not saying it's going to happen, but I'm not saying it's not going to happen either. And if it does, Brady throwing bombs to Tyreek Hill would be ELECTRIC.
