When it comes to writing and releasing music, it's all gas no brakes for Evan Honer. As the culmination of consistent single releases in the months prior, the 23 year old singer-songwriter released his 16-track sophomore record Fighting For in June, showing off his new full band sound and proving wise beyond his years with thoughtful lyricism surrounding a plethora of heavy subject matter. But if you thought he'd take a break after the album was out, you were dead wrong. Despite a super busy touring schedule this summer, the up and coming songwriter has kept the new releases coming. Just a few weeks ago, Honer releases a reimagined version of the album's title track "Fighting For" as a duet with rising country music star Hailey Whitters. And now he's back at it again with another release titled "Scared To Love Again." An emotional tune in which Honor, or the narrator, finds himself on the wrong end of a relationship gone wrong, and struggles to find their way out of the emotional trauma that the fall out has left behind. Give "Scared To Love Again" a listen here:
"How did you move on so easy? How did you withdraw all our feelings? In a matter of minutes you cut a wound too deep to mend In a matter of minutes you made a man scared to love again" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m5DlZsekDVw At such a young age, Honer seems to have an innate ability to evoke emotions in a listener through his lyricism in a way that very few artists are able to master. And if you like what you're hearing, then you're in luck - As you might expect from a prolific artist like Honer, there's more where that came from. "Scared To Love Again" is the first single released off of a forthcoming EP Honer will be releasing in just two weeks on September 27. See below for the four-song tracklist. "Different Life"
"What Happened?" "Song About Overthinking" "Scared To Love Again" Honer grew up in Arizona and attended college in California, but now calls Nashville home. He seemingly came out of nowhere onto the scene in December 2022 while still a college student when he teamed up with frequent collaborator Julia DiGrazia for his debut release – a cover of Tyler Childers’ unreleased fan-favorite “Jersey Giant” that has since amassed more than 85 million streams on Spotify alone. In less than two years since, Honer released his 13-track debut album West on I-10 in 2023, amidst several other EPs and singles, before his aforementioned sophomore project. As prolific as it gets, Honer is on a wildly steep trajectory as he ascends in popularity, and it's just a matter of time until one of these original songs he releases catches fire and surpasses the "Jersey Giant" cover. If you aren't too familiar with his work, here are a few of those originals I suggest you listen to.

He's likely playing the smallest venues he'll ever play again at the moment, so make it happen while you can still experience his music up close and personal. https://www.instagram.com/p/C5q0YDkxrL5/?img_index=1
