The Running of the Bulls wasn't supposed to be on the schedule. A rodeo at the Emerald Square Mall in North Attleborough, Massachusetts went off the rails - or more accurately, through the rails - when a herd of bulls escaped from their pen in the mall parking lot and wreaked havoc in the community as wranglers tried to corral the animals back into their pen. Video from the wild scene shows eight bulls crashing through the fence and sending the crowd in the parking lot scrambling - though luckily nobody was injured. https://twitter.com/boston25/status/1837960232292479186 According to WCVB , one bull was captured shortly after escaping, while six others were found stuck behind a fence at a nearby home. (Maybe the rodeo should ask the homeowner what kind of fence he has). The six from the backyard were eventually captured, but according to the North Attleboro Fire Department, as of this afternoon there's still one bull on the loose:
"The North Attleboro Fire Department reports that rodeo personnel are still actively searching for the remaining bull on the loose. No town assets or emergency personnel are involved in today's search efforts. Community members should exercise extreme caution and not approach the bull if found. If found, community members should call 9-1-1." Now, I'm not saying that keeping bulls in a mall parking lot behind a temporary metal fence is a bad idea, but it seems like somebody probably should have seen this one coming... But regardless, if you're in the area, keep your eyes peeled for a runaway bull.
