Josh Allen has been busy throwing touchdowns
and throwing shade so far this season. The Buffalo Bills are off to a great start this year, and their talented quarterback looks as good as ever. He's thrown for an impressive 7 touchdowns, rushed for 2 touchdowns, and has yet to throw an interception. For those familiar with the "Josh Allen Experience," he's usually good for a gunslinging-induced-turnover once a game. That's not the Josh Allen we've seen so far this season though. Allen is taking care of the ball, he's spreading it around to all of the Bills wide receivers, and the table-smashing team from Buffalo is off to a 3-0 start. It's still very early, but they look like the team to beat in the AFC. They most recently flexed their winning ways by dismantling the Jacksonville Jaguars 47-10 on Monday Night Football, and after the game, Allen made some comments on the win that have some people thinking he was calling out a former teammate of his - Stefon Diggs. Here's what Allen had to say after the game, and it sure sounded like he's happy that he longer has to worry about feeding a star receiver:
"When guys get to buy into this and really understand, like, ‘I may not get the ball four, five times thrown to me a game, but the one or two times I do, I’m gonna have opportunities to be in the end zone.’ You know, it’s a fun and wonderful thing when you have a bunch of guys that don’t care about the stats, they don’t care about the touchdowns." https://twitter.com/jasrifootball/status/1838698273537745126?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1838698273537745126%7Ctwgr%5E88001bdd553c168084e20eff90d12da99bdacd6f%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.barstoolsports.com%2Fblog%2F3526359%2Fhmm-josh-allen-said-its-nice-to-have-players-who-dont-care-about-stats-or-tds-everyone-thinks-hes-taking-a-shot-at-stefon-diggs You might as well have mentioned Stefon Diggs by name there, Josh. Diggs - who now plays for the Houston Texans - was with the Bills from 2020 to 2023. He had previously been with the Minnesota Vikings, but he and team decided to go separate ways after he felt like he wasn't getting the ball enough. I know this sounds crazy, but something similar happened at the end of his tenure in Buffalo, as you can see in the video below: https://twitter.com/JomboyMedia/status/1617297864748666880 And now, Diggs is in a place where quality wide receivers are a dime-a-dozen. He shares the field with the talented Nico Collins and Tank Dell, so all I will say is keep an eye on the Texans... and the eventual, inevitable sideline outburst from Diggs.
