The 2024 NBA Season Hasn’t Even Begun & Nikola Jokic Is Already Over It: “Every Year Is The Same Thing”

We're once again bringing you an example of one of the best basketball players on the planet hating everything about playing basketball. Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokic might actually like playing basketball, considering he seemed rather impassioned playing for Serbia's national team this past summer in the 2024 Olympics. But it definitely feels as though he's grown tired of the constant media cycle that is the NBA - and if that's true, it makes sense that he wasn't in the best of moods at the Nuggets' media day. This picture from the media day proceedings sums up Jokic's mood pretty well: https://twitter.com/Adam_Mares/status/1839350114139488767 His face is just screaming , "I want to be here." One reporter pointed out that it was the 10th media day of Jokic's career, and asked if he was able to recall any special moments from his first or second media day. The guy would have been better off ending his question right there, but instead he continued to pry and inquired if anything had changed about the media days over the years. Jokic fired back with this:
"No, every year is the same thing, and I don't know why we're doing it every year. Everything is the same. Completely the same thing." https://twitter.com/DNVR_Sports/status/1839355074172387370 Yikes... Safe to say that Nikola Jokic could do without the show and dance that is the NBA media day. After all, he treats his pro career like it's a blue-collar job, and you don't see any plumbers doing press conferences now, do you? The good news is that another reporter might have cracked the code for getting a good answer out of Jokic. Later on, someone pointed out that they like the goatee that "The Joker" was sporting. He appreciated that someone noticed, and responded with a smile: "I need more compliments." https://twitter.com/NBA/status/1839355243680907711 There you have it. If you want to get a good reaction out of the Denver Nuggets star, you've just got to say a couple of nice things about him on the front end. Though I'm a little worried... if he's already fed up with the NBA's media schedule in September, he'll be
really tired of it in June when he's slogging his way to another NBA Championship.

Jokic loves basketball but understands its just his job. He has a normal family normal life and love for his horses. When we see him in serbia he is fun go lucky enjoying life. He just hates the extra dumb stuff the nba does to bank from its players. Hes just a regular guy who happens to be the best basketball player in the world. At the end of the day you go home and kiss your kids and enjoy life

He has made it known that he is not that fond of basketball. He is just extremely good at it
