Yellowstone Fans Are Blown Away By How Much Finn Little (Carter) Has Grown Up Ahead Of Series Finale

If you have a hard time recognizing the characters from season to season, maybe you're taking a little too long between them, eh? Yellowstone fans got introduced to Carter, who is played by Finn Little, in the beginning of Season 4, which premiere in the fall of 2021. Beth Dutton (played by Kelly Reilly) meets him at the hospital, and decides to take him in after learning that he just lost his mother and is now an orphan. Beth brings him to the ranch to learn the ways of a cowboy... which requires extreme discipline and teamwork... something Carter knows nothing about. In many ways, this is the first taste of motherhood Beth has ever had, and probably ever will have, considering she is unable to have children. Her brother Jamie (Wes Bentley) took her to an abortion clinic when she got pregnant as a young girl and she, without knowing the full weight of the situation, received a full hysterectomy. It was unfamiliar territory for both her and Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser), but they treat him like their own. However, we can’t forget the heartbreaking scene when Beth goes off on Carter for calling her “mama,” leaving fans in shambles over the sadness from Carter after the harsh words, while also sympathizing with Beth after everything she’s been through in her life. And then ahead of Season 5, which first premiered in the fall of 2022, Finn shared this behind-the-scenes photo.... and fans lost their minds. It's mind-blowing. So much so, that Finn even said that some of the people in production didn't even recognize him when he returned to set for Season 5. I can't say I blame them. And now, going on two years later, we're back for Season 5 Part 2, and Finn... is a grown ass man. Little celebrated his 18th birthday over the summer and while it seems like only a few years have passed both in real life and in the Yellowstone storyline, for Finn, it looks like he aged 10 years. It's insane... how do you handle that as a writer, Taylor Sheridan? In a new teaser for Season 5 Part 2, we go behind the scenes with most of the Yellowstone cast (NOT Kevin Costner), and one particular portion features Tate and Carter (Tate has grown up a lot too), and Finn once again... damn near unrecognizable. A number of fans thought so too: "WHOA! Carter did a Neville Longbottom." "OH MY GOSH! FINN! He is so huge now! Carter?" "Carter is so grown up!" Obviously, the show has been filmed over a number of years, but to go from baby-faced Carter to grown man, cowboy Carter in just one season (we're technically still in Season 5) is pretty wild. Not quite sure what Taylor Sheridan is planning for Carter in Season 5 Part 2, but we're gonna find out soon.
