Did We Try Dropping Ice On Hurricane Helene Yet?

Hurricane Helene is wreaking havoc on the Gulf coast of Florida right now, with the storm stretching up to Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. Rescue crews across the southeast are scrambling to save people from devastating floodwaters with more than 40 deaths already being reported. Millions are still without power, many homes have been completely destroyed, and the damage is estimated to be between 15 and 25 billion (with a B) dollars. Which brings me back to this guy... why aren't we fighting these things? During Hurricane Dorian, which struck the Bahamas in 2019 and made its way up the east coast, one Florida man went insanely viral for his commentary on the storms. He said we need to fight this hurricane head-on, and had a brilliant suggestion for the United States Armed Forces. “I can’t see how they haven’t come up with some kinda way to combat these storms yet. They keep saying it's going to hit all this warm weather. All this warm weather and warm water. We have a Navy. Why don’t the Navy come and drop ice in the warm water so it don’t, so it can’t get going as fast as it’s going?” I mean, he is absolutely right... we DO have a Navy. But wait, there's more... “There’s gotta be ways to combat this, instead of just pointing at the thing and going, ‘Well, now it’s getting worse.’ Well we know it’s getting worse. But you tell us, ‘Oh it’s the warm weather. Oh, it’s the wind.’ Well, we have an Air Force. Drive some Air Force planes around to get the winds going the opposite way. The Navy to go in circles, to fight it the other way.” We DO have an Air Force as well... I'm not sure why we choose to endure devastating hurricane and after devastating hurricane when we have guys like this at our fingertips. Why aren't we tapping into this kind of genius?
