Is Anyone Gonna Tell Him? Travis Hunter Wears “Bland” T-Shirt In Response To Perceived Richard Sherman Slight

If anyone would know about Travis Hunter's ability to play offense and defense in the NFL, it'd be his current head coach Deion Sanders . Coach Prime has full faith that Hunter can get that done at the professional level, but legendary cornerback Richard Sherman simply believes Hunter is better suited to thrive as an All-Pro corner. Nothing wrong with that. It's just that Sherman's contention is Hunter stands out more as a natural cornerback, as opposed to a skill set that'd cause him to "blend" more with other professionals. Like yes, Hunter could be a solid NFL wideout — even an elite one if he were to focus on that position exclusively. It's just that doing so would come at the expense of Hunter being a potential generational talent at corner. Alas, despite clear audio evidence that Sherm didn't call Hunter "bland," the Internet has played a needlessly confusing game of telephone to twist Sherman's commentary into something it's not. Now we're to the point where Hunter is misquoting Sherman's viral misquote on a T-shirt as motivational fuel for a game on Saturday. https://twitter.com/YahooSports/status/1840091084728479946 https://twitter.com/DKSportsbook/status/1840093375694815239 To his credit, Sherman understands the game he's playing nowadays on the modern sports media landscape. He's taking it all in stride and having a good laugh about it. Good on him. https://twitter.com/RSherman_25/status/1840099352943177956 https://twitter.com/RSherman_25/status/1839705357419196521 This is such a classic example of how people just take nonsense and run with it on social media, though. Maybe Hunter or whomever crafted this shirt for him saw the truth, chose to ignore it, and gave him a chip on his shoulder for Saturday's matchup against UCF anyway. Wouldn't surprise me at all. Haters will probably hate on Hunter for lacking in the listening comprehension department. To me, using Sherman's inaccurate word as motivational fuel is a massive green flag/further confirmation that he's an ultimate competitor. Sherm and Hunter had a conversation to clear the air before this — and the Colorado star still used "bland" as fuel for the motivational fire! https://twitter.com/RSherman_25/status/1839442211714609203 As if it wasn't self-evident enough that Hunter is "built different" when it comes to competitive spirit. Think about it. Hunter plays both ways on a relatively aimless college football team. Many millions of dollars await him in the future no matter what position he plays in the NFL. He's taking on a more physically taxing workload than anyone in the country. And he's
still performing among the nation's best week in and week out. You don't have to be a math genius to figure out that the more reps you get on a football field, the more susceptible you are to injury. Yet Hunter keeps pressing on, determined to lift the Buffaloes to a bowl game, which would be a hell of an achievement given that he and Shedeur Sanders are the only blue-chip players on the entire roster. Prayers up that Shedeur can survive the weekly battering he takes behind his porous o-line, and that the excessive snaps Hunter banks at corner and receiver don't culminate in some sort of injury. Say what you will about the Buffaloes program in general, but at least for now, in the year 2024, Shedeur and Hunter make them one of the most entertaining watches in the country on a weekly basis.

Young man enjoy your life don't go back and forth with a Sherman who is just a drunk wife beater. Wats the price of winning? Sherman: a drunk wife beater, Earl Thomas: anger issues plus his wife tried to kill him for cheating, Brandon Browner: cocaine possession, break and entering and stealing a Rolex, currently serving 8 yrs for attempted murder, Kam Chancellor: retired bcuz of spinal and neck injuries to my point SOUNDS LIKE STEROIDS to which is why their head coach Pete Carroll left USC
