Billy Strings Goes Full Dad Mode Leaving The Hospital Following The Birth Of His Son

Sound the alarm... we have a new dad on the block. Billy Strings, or should we now call him Father Strings, and his wife welcomed their baby boy into the world. Going into the weekend, Strings gave fans an update as he urgently left a festival after getting a call that his wife went into labor. "I was hanging out backstage, getting ready to rehearse for our set, when my wife called and told me her water broke. I immediately hopped on a jet (thank you, Ringo Starr, for lending me your ride) and headed back. I was mortified to leave the fans hanging and to leave the responsibility of the gig to my band and friends, who stepped up and kicked ass in my absence. ( I owe you all a cold beer! ) but I was so excited to get back to my wife because she needed me… I got to Michigan Friday night around midnight, and we have been in labor ever since.. we labored all day yesterday, and we’re still in the race. Ally is doing amazing! She is so strong. I’ve never witnessed anything like it. There is an unbelievable amount of strength and courage in that woman. We are still here, and she is doing great work. Baby and mother are both healthy. We are hoping to meet our boy today! I’ll let you all know when he’s here. But for now, please just keep sending Ally all of your thoughts of love and strength." After a long delivery, fans were thrilled to get an update from Strings that mom and baby were healthy after the delivery and that he'd been officially promoted to Dad. https://www.instagram.com/p/DAikV2GRZKF/ After many new parents receive their promotion, it often feels like it takes them a second to settle into the role. They are figuring out how to keep an infant alive and healthy while balancing their lives with a few hours less of sleep. It's a lot to be kicked off the bench and thrown into the role of parent. But for Father Strings, he seems to be settling in just fine after a day of being a dad...maybe a little too well. Billy Strings has activated full-on dad mode before leaving the hospital. Sharing a video to social media, Strings is sporting all-white New Balance sneakers, cargo shorts with a white polo shirt tucked in,  a black leather phone case (because he has class, duh), and some Costa sunglasses. "First day of the rest of my life." Talk about a quintessential dad outfit. I must admit this was not the piece of dad content I first expected from Strings. I thought we would get a little man holding a tiny guitar, a bluegrass album, or even a guitar pick. Instead, Strings is ignoring the public thoughts that he will raise the next bluegrass prodigy and giving fans a giggle with this comedic video. Dad mode is fully activated and looks good on String.
