Pretty easy to see who runs this Colorado neighborhood. We're still very much in the middle of elk rut season, where males (bulls) typically fight each other for the right to mate with females (cows). That period extends from the middle of September to the middle of October, and if you happen to live in elk country, there's a chance you occasionally see what's playing out in this video below. When elk are in their rut season, it's common for one bull elk to gather up a herd of cows - which are actually called a harem. For the most part, these herds usually form out in the wilderness, where bulls will bugle to attract cows to an area. But for some inexplicable reason, this bull elk decided to set up shop right in the middle of a Colorado neighborhood. The herd consisting of 100 plus cows and what appears to be only one bachelor bull quite literally covered up multiple front yard areas, as you'll see in the clip below: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DAmq6F_pIpG/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link That bull elk is LIVING THE LIFE. He's putting on a masterclass of how to bring in the ladies, and he's still managing to look cool as a cucumber about it. Could I even go as far to say that he's got the harem in the palm of his hooves? Wait... I guess hooves don't have palms. Anyways, may I deflect from my bad attempt at a joke and direct you to what everyone on social media is saying about this video? Great, because the comments about the bull elk lounging with the ladies below the post are much funnier than what I just tried to do right there, so please enjoy:
"Love is in the air!" "Who needs lawn ornaments when you have a herd of elk." "I'm not saying my freezer would be full. I'm just saying I wouldn't need to buy meat for 12 to 18 months." "Neighborhood stud." "Holy crap! Guess his milkshake brought all the girls to the yard."
