“Would Be The One Time The Key Was Gone” – Miranda Lambert Says She Will Never Let Her Retired NYPD Husband Handcuff Her

Probably better to play it safe... Miranda Lambert was a guest on Theo Von’s This Past Weekend podcast last week, where they talked about her new album Postcards From Texas , her meeting Gypsy Rose back in the day, and Theo also, accidentally, brought up Miranda’s ex-husband, Blake Shelton , which was probably the funniest part of the episode. Of course, they also talked about Miranda's cute husband Brendan McLoughlin, who Theo mentioned he had met a few times and talked about how handsome he was. Brendan is a retired NYPD officer, and Miranda told Theo that a couple years ago for Halloween, she made Brendan dress up as a donut and she wore his officer uniform. I think it's hilarious, but apparently Brendan didn't exactly find it so funny: "It was awesome, 'cuz he's super fit and doesn't even eat donuts, and I was like, 'I'm gonna be a cop and you're gonna be a donut.' He was like, 'That's just cliche, that's stupid!' Like no, it's awesome. It was my favorite. He was pouting the whole time, he was like, 'I don't wanna be a donut!'" Theo of course had an incredibly unique response, saying: "Dude, everybody wants to be a donut. I couldn't even imagine not wanting to be a donut. I think everyone's always just wanted to sit in a box with 11 of their buddies." And of course, he had a follow-up asking if Miranda has ever let Brendan tase her, and she obviously said no, and she also said she will never, ever let him put handcuffs on her, either: "No, no. And he has handcuffs, and I'm like, that would be the one time that the key was gone. Like, we're not ever doing that. Never, it's not gonna happen." It would be embarrassing enough having to get help with something like that considering you're married to a cop who would be the last person to have that kind of issue, but I can't imagine how much worse it would be if you're as famous as Miranda and people know who you are...
