Another new festival coming in 2025. We've seen a few festivals canceled in 2024, some due to circumstances out of their control like the recent hurricanes and some with no explanation, or due to poor ticket sales. But Morgan Wallen is ready to launch his own festival and get some sand in his boots. The country superstar announced he's bringing his new Sand In My Boots festival to Gulf Shores, Alabama for three nights, from May 16-18, 2025. The festival will be produced by AEG Presents, the folks behind festivals like Stagecoach and Hangout Fest. And it seems like it may just be a one-year deal replacing the annual Hangout Fest in Gulf Shores. Sand In My Boots is being billed as a "multi-genre" music festival and beach vacation, featuring "a highly curated multi-genre lineup with some of Wallen's closest friends, favorite artists, those who have inspired him, and that he has always wanted to perform with." The lineup hasn't been released yet, but Morgan announced the festival in a video to his fans:
"Me and my team have been working on this for a while, and I'm bringing some of my friends with me." https://twitter.com/Sandinmyboot/status/1846936717959237717 It also comes on the heels of Morgan headlining another AEG festival, Stagecoach, this past year. There were a lot of questions when Morgan's festival performance wasn't livestreamed, and a representative for the country star hinted that he had something up his sleeve. The complete lineup and ticket information will be released soon, but the festival will take place on the beach in the same location as previous editions of Hangout Fest. The 2024 edition of the festival featured headlining performances from Zach Bryan, Lana Del Ray and Odesza, and also featured country artists like Koe Wetzel, Megan Moroney and Wyatt Flores, along with many pop artists. Sounds like Morgan will be continuing on the festival's tradition of bringing artists from across the musical spectrum together on one lineup.
