“Gonna Have Time To Be Properly Lubricated” – Matthew McConaughey Lays Down Some Classic Pregame Prose Ahead Of Texas Versus Georgia

You can say it's weird, you can say it's out of the ordinary, but you can't say it doesn't work. The Minister of Culture for the Texas Longhorns, Mr. Matthew McConaughey , is getting ready for maybe the biggest college football matchup of the season as the top ranked Longhorns square off against the number 5 Bulldogs at Darrell K Royal memorial Stadium in Austin, Texas tomorrow night. College Gameday will be there, as will thousands of boozed up fans ready to watch what has the potential to be Texas' announcement that there a new sheriff in town or a "Not so fast" performance by the Bulldogs to check their egos. I'm pulling for the Longhorns, mostly because I'm a huge McConaughey guy (proudly have some canvas artwork from Dazed And Confused hanging on my office wall) but also because I think it's good for college football when Texas is good. Same goes for the Tennessee Volunteers, though now that I'm thinking about it I may just like Orange teams (except Clemson). Naturally, before a game of this magnitude a hype speech adds little, but what about McConaughey talking directly to you as if you're sitting across from him at a hole-in-the-wall dive bar, poetically imparting some whiskey wisdom?
