Stefon Diggs’ Feud With Jaire Alexander Continues As Texans WR Ignites Pregame Spat With Packers

Stefon Diggs is still a more than serviceable wide receiver who comes in real handy now that the Houston Texans have their stud WR1 Nico Collins on short-term injured reserve, but at what point does his presence become too much of a distraction? The Minnesota Vikings moved off Diggs and happened to draft Justin Jefferson in his stead. Worked out pretty well. Diggs has been decent in Houston, yet he's only averaging 10.6 yards per catch while still bringing some of the baggage that got him shipped out of Buffalo . Case in point: A pre-kickoff jawing match and some shoves with Jaire Alexander and the Green Bay Packers. https://twitter.com/NFLonCBS/status/1848043646177660967 It's no secret at all that Jaire and Stef loathe each other. Their rivalry stretches all the way back to Diggs' days in the NFC North, when he squared off with Alexander twice a season. They only overlapped for a couple seasons, but that was enough time to spark a vicious divisional rivalry. You never quite know the veracity of stat graphics on Elon Musk's X/Twitter, but if true, maybe Jaire simply brought up Diggs' numbers against him and that led to the minor altercation. https://twitter.com/Packers_Base/status/1847408446930403606 Regardless, suffice it to say these gents aren't mutual admirers. Quite the opposite. https://twitter.com/BleacherReport/status/1587093153814822913 This is a massive game already today, and it just got way juicier. A win in Green Bay would move the Texans to 6-1 and help them really run away with the AFC South title. The Packers are trying to keep pace in their own division, whose last-place team is the 4-2 Chicago Bears via tiebreakers. Talk and pregame shoving is cheap. We'll see who rises to the occasion on the gridiron at Lambeau Field.
