Man arrested after barricading himself inside during domestic assault call

A man was arrested after barricading himself in house during a domestic assault call in White Bear Lake Friday morning.

At around 11 a.m., officers with the White Bear Lake Police Department responded to the call near the intersection of White Bear Avenue and Rishworth Lane.

At the scene, officers escorted residents out of the house while the suspect barricaded himself inside.

The suspect stated that he was armed and refused to follow officer commands, according to police.

Ramsey County SWAT was activated, and both White Bear Avenue and Rishworth Lane were closed.

The man, who also had outstanding felony warrants, eventually exited the home and was arrested for felony domestic assault.
