Update: Heat advisory for Eastern Curry County and Josephine County and Jackson County until Tuesday evening
An updated heat advisory was issued by the National Weather Service on Tuesday at 1:25 a.m. in effect until 8 p.m. for Eastern Curry County and Josephine County and Jackson County. The weather service states, "High temperatures around 101 degrees to 105 with low temperatures between 67 and 70 degrees."

Air quality alert affecting 3 Oregon counties Tuesday
On Monday at 12:14 p.m. an air quality alert was issued valid until Tuesday at noon for Baker, Harney and Malheur counties. "High concentration of smoke particulates from wildfires in Oregon and northern California," states the weather service. "Smoke levels can change rapidly depending on weather. EAGLE POINT, Ore. -- Crews are battling a structure fire in the 300 block of Salt Creek Road in Eagle Point. "Structural crews are working defensively on the fire with a barn fully involved at this time," Fire District 3 said in a Facebook post.
