Missing man found dead almost 2 weeks after his disappearance

Michael "Bud" Annette, 38, of Pine Point, has been found dead after being missing since July 2.

The 38-year-old's body was found Sunday, two days after the White Earth Tribal Police Department asked for the public's help in locating him.

Annette was last seen in Pine Point prior to his his disappearance.

White Earth police searched the Pine Point and Ponsford areas on Saturday, and later asked the public not to search for Annette so as to not "inadvertently contaminate or hinder [their] search." They announced his death on Facebook shortly after.

His cause and manner of death remains unknown.

No arrests or suspects have been announced at this time. The case remains an active investigation
